A couple of months ago, after my project "On A Quiet Night Like This" was finished and released, I ran across a hymn in a book of hymn stories that was really impressed on me. It was Isaac Watts' hymn "Come, Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove". He had written the hymn because he was disturbed by the "business-as-usual" state of Christianity. It was certainly Isaac's cry for revival. I had never heard the hymn before so I looked it up. I wasn't very impressed with the tune it had been set to but felt that God wanted this message to go out. I decided to write new music that reflect the longing and gravity of the words.
"Come, Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove" is now on my SoundCloud page https://soundcloud.com/al-hilgendorf/come-holy-spirit-heavenly-dove and it will be available on CD Baby and all other digital venues and YouTube coming soon.
