Every once in awhile I'll write a song that's a little "different" than what I usually write. "That's All There Is" came to me after a "first impression" at work (Sorry. Getting carried away with words in "quotes") I noticed a particular visiting robotics engineer who was wearing the company polo shirt, was trim and well groomed and, I was sure, had a six-figure income. Then, as my mind wandered, I imagined that he probably had a nice house, new car, couple of grown kids, etc. But then I thought, "If that's all there is, then that's all there is" Hey! That sounded like a song! To make a long story...you know... the first verse is about this guy. But then the second verse is about someone in the opposite situation and we find the same moral to the story. And then, of course, I have to get all spiritual for the third verse or else it wouldn't be a Christian song and we wouldn't be able to sing it in heaven.:) Anyway, I shot a video of it when I performed it at the Aroma Coffeehouse and you can watch it here: http://www.everydaypraise.com/video.html or on YouTube. Would love your comments!
