EverydayPraise In the New Year

Jan 22, 2010

Hi Friends!
My New Year's resolution is usually to not make any New Year's resolutions, but this year I really want to get the new CD "I Will Follow" finished. I've promised myself a new studio computer when it's all done - how's that for insentive! I posted a few more rough tracks on my website if you'd like a sneak-peek at some of the songs. Go to www.everydaypraise.com/newmusic.html to listen. The Quicktime player takes a little time to load so please be patient :)

A couple of months ago I had the privilege of working with a small music team from Word for Life church in Comstock, MI. Being a small church, it was hard for them to find and keep a worship leader. The pastor's brother had just picked up the guitar again after a couple of years recovering from a medical condition, but he was committed to trying his best to lead the team. My home church, Agape, gave me 8 weeks off to help them where I could. My main goal was to get them to work as a team and not rely solely on one person. Other things we worked on were learning newer songs, reading chord charts, rhythm patterns for the drums, and, of course, having a time to share and pray together. It was a joy to watch this little team grow and the friendships that I made are wonderful. I love working with music teams and I hope to do so more in the future. I guess that might be another resolution!

Blessings!
